The Salthouse Hotel - Ballycastle

Stunning cosy room with a huge bathroom. Exceptionally comfortable beds and an electronic key card, a work desk and coffee/tea making facilities. The location was marvellous close to the beach and a 20-minute walk to the centre.

Noise from adjoining doors made it hard to relax!!! Bathroom issues that should have been fixed were inconvenient. Staff could benefit from additional training for a smoother experience!!!

The spa hot tubs were enjoyable, but I found the room too warm at night.

Great vibe but some hiccups

We had to crash in another room, a bummer. The restaurant was cozy and the staff were super attentive. A lovely spot overall, but the management response needs work.

I just had a fantastic stay with my family! The outdoor jacuzzi was perfect even in typical Northern Ireland weather, and the food was unforgettable—especially the dessert! Definitely a place I'd choose again.

The spacious Beautiful Family Room offered fine coastal views. Dining was a highlight, with excellent breakfast options and particularly enjoyable grilled seafood. Staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. The hotel is still a work in progress and some facilities could use improvement, which slightly affected the overall experience.

Had a lovely night here, especially enjoyed snuggling in the beautifully decorated King Suite and indulging in a delicious dinner by the fire. The spa really hit the spot with a nice massage and relaxing time at the jacuzzi. Just a heads up, the front desk staff could've been a bit more cute, but it didn't take away from the overall vibe! 😊

The views from the garden view room were amazing, and the breakfast spread included fresh pastries and local cheeses, delicious. The staff here were friendly and, exceeding our previous experiences in ballycastle.

The local cheese at breakfast had us buzzing-it was a culinary gem! The bar had cracking cocktails and a cozy vibe that we loved. Not to mention, the bedding was comfy enough to sink into after a hearty day of exploring.

The hotel is a bit remote, and getting to the nearest town was like a trek. Plus, stepping outside does bring the weather right at you-might wanna consider some transport !

Really good views and a relaxing spa experience

The spa facilities, including the thermal suite, added a luxurious touch to our visit. Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast with amazing views of Rathlin Island, complemented by a diverse menu selection. The dining experience was a bit let down by the dinner options being rather bland compared to the excellent breakfast.
